FINANCE & ACCOUNTING ANALYST - JOB OPENING

Job title: Finance & Accounting Analyst

Location: Graceway Supermarkets

Job Summary: Graceway Supermarkets is looking to hire a qualified applicant. The main responsibility of the role is to produce high-quality financial reports and develop analytical skills to understand the company’s systems and databases. This will allow the candidate to extract, interpret, and present data to key stakeholders. The successful candidate must be willing to train and collaborate with other members of the Finance team.

Duties/ Responsibilities:

-          Production of period reporting pack:

  • Analysis of period results vs prior year and budget, investigating and interpreting variances and preparing commentary for senior management and stakeholders.

  • Manage period end close process including posting of journals and reconciliation of accounts.

  • Development and improvement of reporting pack.

-          Production of annual financial statements and audit pack in advance of audit.

-          Ongoing development and implementation of freight allocation methodologies to improve the accuracy of the calculated landed cost of products and resulting sales price.

-          Analysis of billing from key suppliers to ensure adherence with contractual terms.

-          Contribute to annual budgeting and forecasting process.

-          Coordination of semi-annual inventory counts across all stores.

-          Assist with ad-hoc queries from senior management and stakeholders.

-          Archiving

Requirements:

-          ACA / ACMA / ACCA / CPA professional accounting qualification preferred, with a minimum of one year post qualification.

-          Attention to detail and flexibility to simultaneously manage multiple tasks.

-          Able to communicate with a diverse audience, including staff with a non-finance-related background.

Salary starting at $56,000 USD per annum.
