It is with great regret and sadness that we share the news, that our own Kristine Rusios’ husband, Cydric Balanag, has passed away suddenly from COVID-19 this weekend.
Cydric was a loyal and trusted member of the Royal Turks and Caicos Islands Police Force and; above all else, a loving and caring husband to Kristine, and father to their daughter, Ezra.
We give our deepest sympathies and condolences to Kristine and her daughter Ezra during this extremely difficult time.
Please keep the Balanag family in your thoughts and prayers.
Congratulations to our 7 Days of Giving winners! For 6 days, we selected 6 winners to each win $500 gift certificates at Graceway IGA, SMART and Graceway Gourmet! On the 7th day, one big winner was randomlyu selected to win 2 round trip tickets on Caicos Express to anywhere they fly! Now that’s a great start to 2021!
Graceway Communities is the charitable arm of the Graceway group which seeks to continue the good work that Graceway has done in the communities of the Turks and Caicos Islands, over the last twenty years.
We embarked on a number of initiatives this year and are finishing strong with our “Holiday Giving” event which aims to provide food items – Dry Groceries, Fresh Produce and meat to at least 1000 families across the Turks and Caicos, from Salt Cay to Providenciales.
We are grateful to the Pastor’s Fraternal on Grand Turk, the Christian Council, and Outreach Turks and Caicos on Providenciales, the Baptist Association in Middle Caicos, the District Administration in North Caicos, and the Churches and Soroptimist in South Caicos for their continued support to Graceway Communities and to making this event a success.
We wish to also say a big thank you to our staff and other volunteers who have helped with the preparation, and transportation of the food boxes and the Directors and Shareholders of Graceway who did not hesitate to make the funds available for such a massive undertaking.
2020 has been a most challenging year for individuals as well as businesses, but we remain grateful and are even more motivated to give.
We are committed to the Turks and Caicos, and will continue to support all of our communities across our beautiful islands.
On behalf of Graceway and our Committee members, Tamell Seymour, Sophie Stanbrook, Matthew Brace and Edith Cox, we wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy and Healthy 2021.
