Grilled Ribeye Steak with Red Wine Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2 ribeye steaks

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

For the Red Wine Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 shallot, finely chopped

  • 1 cup Josh Cabernet Sauvignon or Josh Merlot

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard

  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions:

  • Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  • Season the ribeye steaks generously with salt and pepper on both sides. Drizzle olive oil over the steaks and rub it in to coat them evenly.

  • Place the steaks on the preheated grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side for medium-rare, or adjust the cooking time according to your desired doneness.

  • While the steaks are grilling, prepare the red wine sauce. In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the shallots and cook until they become translucent and fragrant.

  • Pour in the Josh Cabernet Sauvignon or Josh Merlot, and let it simmer for a couple of minutes to cook off the alcohol and reduce slightly.

  • Add the beef broth to the saucepan and bring it to a gentle simmer. Let it cook for about 5-7 minutes until the sauce has thickened slightly.

  • Stir in the Dijon mustard and season the sauce with salt and pepper to taste.

  • Remove the steaks from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes to allow the juices to redistribute.

  • Serve the grilled ribeye steaks on individual plates and drizzle the red wine sauce over the top.
