Press Release: Fresh meat and reduced pricing update

Dear Customers,

As we move in to this new phase, we want to let you know we take our responsibility for feeding these beautiful by nature islands very seriously and continue to do our best in serving you. In the last few weeks to support our customers:

  • We have reduced prices on the twenty most essential lines across all our stores.

  • We have reduced the prices on thousands of products as a result of TCIG removing import duties.

  • We are also pleased to inform you that the cost of eggs from America is now falling back to normal levels and this will be reflected in new lower prices.

Fresh meat and poultry

We have been informed by our USA suppliers that there may be intermittent supply issues with fresh meat and poultry over the next week or so. With restaurants closed across the USA, demand for home cooking continues to outpace the supply base, therefore putting a strain on fresh beef, pork and poultry supplies. Unfortunately this means prices have increased, some of which customers may see for a number of weeks until normal supply levels return.

We want to thank you, our customer for your patience and understanding. We have made changes in-store to help keep us all safe and thank you for wearing your face masks and continued effort in observing social distancing.
